The local newspaper, the Gainesville Sun, had some coverage of the 'record-breaking' run by G Mutai at the 2011 Boston Marathon. As I am sure most know, despite his time being the fastest marathon ever run (on a notoriously challenging course) the overall downhill course elevation, point-to-point nature of the course (ie: not a loop) and the prevailing tailwind during the race each contributes to his performance not qualifying as a 'world record'
Besides that technicality, the Sun also printed the names of all the local Gainesville (and many, FTC members) who ran. So, congrats to everyone from Hogtown on a great race!
